About Anne
Anne Greule is Professor for History of the Early and High Middle Ages at the Georg-August-University Göttingen. She has been affiliated with the Research Unit on Voluntariness since April 2023 while holding a postdoctoral scholarship at the University of Erfurt. Her research focuses on competitiveness and self-optimization in the Early Middle Ages, the history of knowledge in the Middle Ages, medieval sermons and their transmission. Her dissertation on “Preaching Transformation. Alan of Lille and the Paris Schools in the Second Half of the 12th Century” will be published within the series “Pariser Historische Studien” of the German Historical Institute Paris.
