About Philipp
Philipp Lorig is a sociologist, was a postdoctoral Research Associate at the Chair of Political Sociology, Friedrich Schiller University Jena, and has been Co-Investigator in the Research Unit on Voluntariness from 2021 to 2024. His research focuses on new forms of work in the digital platform economy, the social-theoretical analysis of contemporary capitalism, precarization, social inequality as well as on the interrelations of work and subjectification. He published “Solidarity and collective issues in remote crowd work: A mixed methods study of the Amazon Mechanical Turk online forum”, in: New Technology, Work and Employment, 2023 (together with Markus Hertwig and Manuel Holz).
